Okereke Snubs Newcastle, Wolves, Others To Join FC Brugge On €8m

Nigeria U23 international David Okereke lands in Belgium ahead of a €10 million move to Club Brugge from Spezia.

The 21-year-old forward had an impressive Serie B season with 10 goals and 12 assists in 30 appearances which caught the eye of Sassuolo, Southampton, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Crystal Palace but they have missed out on his services.

Okereke undergone a medical with Club Brugge on Monday after finalising the personal terms ahead of his unveiling by the Blue-Black.

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr invited him to beef up the senior national team squad ahead of a friendly against Egypt in March after watching him in action for 12 minutes in a U23 Afcon qualifier against Libya.
