Okpotu To Decide Next Club This Week
By Emediong Silver
Nigeria's Anthony Okpotu has nine months left on his contract with US Monastir but it seems he is not ready to extend his contract with the club. He has loads of interest from major clubs particularly from clubs in North Africa and Persian Gulf.
Speaking after yesterday's cup final against Esperance, Okpotu said, "It was a good game, both teams play good football and they have quality players.
"We didn't have special plans to stop Esperance but we played according to the tactics of the coach which we've be been doing."
"It is true I finished as the top scorer in the League with 13 goals, I’ll decide where I'll play next season this week but 80 percent I'm moving."
The striker was at his best last time out scoring 13 goals in 25 appearances. The tally also gave him a rewwrd of the Tunisian Ligue 1 top scorer award.
Wherever the Nigerian moves to, Monastir will forever be grateful to the big man for his contributions and dedication on the field of play.
