Oliseh Misses Out As 1st African To Coach In Dutch Eredivise

Oliseh's Contract with Fortuna Sittard Ends Today. By Niyi Busari Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh's contract with Fortuna Sittard as a coach has expired today Tuesday May 1st 2018 after 17 months in charge BSN Sports reports. It would be recalled that the former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh had issues with the board of the club in which they were forced to suspend the former Nigerian coach. Months later, he returned back to the position after winning the case against Fortuna Sittard chiefs in the court. www.bsnsports.com.ng understands that the decision to sack him was upturned by the court, therefore remains as the coach in which he was told to finish. If not for the sack that led to expiration of his contract with club, Oliseh would have been the first African coach to manage a team at Dutch topflight football. Oliseh, however took to social media on Tuesday May 1st to announce that he has left the Dutch club. Sunday Oliseh resigned as Super Eagles coach after 8 months in charge of the Nigerian senior national team cited unpaid salaries, contract violation and lack of support among other reasons behind his decision.
