The U23 Eagles defeated Libya 4-0 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in the second leg of the qualification round of U23 African Nations Cup. Nigeria had few days in the first leg lost 0-2 to Libya in Tunisia and the aggregate result (4-2) qualified Nigeria for the next round. A source close to the Nigeria Football Federation stated while speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng that: "Yes, they have not been paid but everyone should understand what the Federation is going through. We are involved in many international competition, thus it is difficult to fund all these international games. We will however, pay them soon." He said. However, Nigeria will face Sudan in the last AFCON qualification match in November this year.
