Olympic qualifier: Super Falcons shoot down Algeria again

Ahead of 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games, Nigeria's Super Falcons continued its dominance over their counterparts from Algeria as they recorded another win over the North Africans.

BSN reports that Falcons without foreign based players, the Super Falcons defeated the Algerians 0-2 in Bilda last week with goals from Algerian defender Ouadah and Amarachi Okorokwo.

The second leg which was played at the Agege stadium in Lagos on Tuesday saw the Algerians with an improved backline and were able to peg back the Nigeria attackers.

The foreign trio of Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade and Fransisca Ordega were unable to breakdown the Algerians until in the second stanza when FC Barcelona Femeni of Spain forward netted the only goal of the encounter.

The victory ensured that Nigeria progressed into the next round with 3-0 aggregate scoreline.

The Nigeria side will play against Cote d'Ivoire after defeating Mali.
