OQT: We are ready for Serbia, USA - Kalu

Ahead of the Olympic Qualifying tournament, France based D'Tigress forward Ezinne Kalu has stated that she believes that the team has the ability to stun both Serbia and USA who are their group rival.

The Nigeria side are grouped alongside former champion USA, Serbia and their fellow African team Mozambique in the qualifier, BSN Reports.

“In order to be the best, you have to beat the best, or even play against the best,”

Games like this against the USA and Serbia are opportunities for us to show what we can do against top teams.

We know we’re the top team in Africa and that’s great but to take our level of focus and game to the next level, we have to play against these great teams and show our talent,” Kalu said.

The team head coach Otis Hughley has invited 14 players that will prosecute the competition and they are expected to resume camp in Belgrade on February 1st, 2020.
