Omeruo Eyes Century Caps For Nigeria

Nigeria's Super Eagles and CD Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo has confirmed that is targeting a 100 caps for Nigeria and equal the record set by Vincent Enyeama and Joseph Yobo.

Former Chelsea player was instrumental to Nigeria's Super Eagles winning 2013 African Cup Of Nations and also played at FIFA COnfederation cup in Brazil same year,BSN Reports

The duo goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and defender Joseph Yobo remained the most capped Nigeria Players with 101 caps.

Omeruo also revealed that is not easy having such huge caps with changing of coaches and the team players.

" “It’s really a great achievement for a player to make 100 appearances for Nigeria because there are great talents in Nigeria,” Omeruo said on radio

“I think it’s also difficult to play that amount of games for the national team, because we have different coaches coming in, changing the team and inviting other players.

“It will be a great achievement for me to reach that number, he stated.

Omeruo presently has 52 caps for Nigeria
