Omidiji gets national team call up

The Nigeria's Golden Eaglets technical crew led Garba Manu are gradually starting preparations for the upcoming AFCON U17 slated for Tanzania, BSNSports reports.

Among the players who has been invited is USA born, Nigeria descent Lateef Omidiji.

Omidiji who turned down United State to represent Nigeria was among the National U15 team that played for Nigeria at African U15 youth games in Morocco in 2018.

He has played for Feynoord reserved side and Dordrecht youth before moving to Go Ahead U17 in 2018.

Nigeria is among the team that has secured qualification to play at the AFCON 17 after missing the last edition.
