Onazi resumes training with club after 5 months

After spending close to six months on the treatment table, Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has resumed team training in Turkey, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

BSN can reports that Onazi has been ruled out of action since 2018 during a league game for his club Trabzonspor.

The former Lazio midfielder missed 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt due to injury and was not considered for the upcoming international friendly match against Ukraine.

Onazi who has been undergoing rehabilitation and individual training joined the rest of the team on Friday as he moves closer to fitness.

With his resumption back to the first team, Trabzonspor will have three Nigerian players in their line up, former Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi joined Anthony Nwakaeme in the team this summer after signing a two year deal with Trabzonspor.

On his part, Anthony Nwakaeme has been with the Turkish giants, before the team acquire the services of former Eagles captain.
