Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has hailed former Kano Pillars striker, Junior Lokosa's move to Esperance of Tunisia adding that only excellent performance of the striker will determine his return to the national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rohr made this statement in an exclusive interview with Radio France on Wednesday in Abuja, he said: "Signing for Esperance of Tunisia is good for his career and that will help improve in his goal ability. Lokosa is a good player but only good outing with Esperance of Tunisia will determine his return to the Super Eagles."

Lokosa on Monday signed a 2-year deal with Tunisian giants, Esperance to take his career to a higher level and also increase his chances of playing for the national team.

Junior Lokosa emerged highest goal scorer last season with 19 goals.

The former First Bank of Lagos striker had on different occasions unable to secure a deal in Europe after three failed attempts.

Lokosa was invited by Gernot Rohr and played in an international friendly match against Atletico Madrid in Nigeria.

The Nigeria international signs a two-year contract with the reigning Caf Champions League kings on the back of an impressive season in the Nigeria topflight.
