Super Eagles’ striker, Paul Onuachu Says he’s delighted to open his goal account for the Super Eagles after netting on his debut in an
international friendly game against Egypt.
The FC Midtjylland goal poacher however said he was thrilled to start with a bang in the national team.
“I felt really good and hopes it gives me more confidence going forward”.
“It was good for me to score in my debut match for my fatherland even though it was a friendly game, but to push harder for more goals,” he said.
Speaking on Onuachu’s performance against Egypt, Nigeria head coach, Gernot Rohr heaped praises on the lanky striker.
Rohr said: ”We scored a goal very early. I think this is the earliest goal I have seen as a coach and it’s coming from the kickoff.
It was very nice from Paul Onuachu.
”We have other profiles for the striker position, we now have this tall guy [Paul Onuachu] from Denmark. He did very well but he has to improve still.”
