Onyekuru eyes Turkey return

Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru has set his eye on Turkey return following his below par performance in the French league, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The former Anderlecht of Belgium forward spent last season on loan with the Turkey Super Lig side Galatasaray where he netted 14 goals and helped the club secure domestic double.

His movement to French Lique one side AS Monaco from English Premier league side Everton has been unfruitful so far due to injury and lack of game time.

Russia premier league side CSKA Moscow has indicated interest in the speedy forward and Monaco has agreed to let him move on loan for around $2.5m but Onyekuru has turned down the Russia move.

“I will return to my old team (Galatasaray) without thinking. I don’t want to go to Russia ,” he said.

Onyekuru was part of Nigeria Super Eagles to 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt but was not consider for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin and Lesotho.
