Onyekuru fires Galatasaray to league title By Sampson Adedeji Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru was the hero on Sunday as he helped Galatasaray to second trophies in five days, BSNSports.com.ng can report. Galatasaray emerged the league champions after they defeated Istanbul Baseksehir 2-1. Before the 2018/19 last Turkey Super League match, both teams were on 66 points, though Galasataray have better goal difference compared to the second placed Istanbul Baseksehir. Though with a draw, Galatasaray would still be crowned champion while the visitors must win to stand a chance of winning the title. Onyekuru has a goal disallowed in the 62nd minute before he netted a legitimate goal two minute later and ensured that Galatasaray is crowned league champion. Fatih Terim led team finished on top of the table with 69 points in 33 matches while Onyekuru finished the season with 14 goals. Former Anderlecht striker will return to his parent club Everton FC in England and determine next line of action. Playing for Nigeria's Super Eagles at 2019 African Cup of Nations might eventually secured him all important work permit in order to play in English Premier League.
