Onyekuru Set To Miss Super Eagles – Bafana Clash Over Injury

Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru might not be called up to the Nigeria National Team for their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Johannesburg next month, reports BSNSports.com.ng. Galatasaray have reported on their official website that the striker suffered an in injury while on international duty with the Super Eagles. Onyekuru who got an assist on the Eagles’ fourth goal in their 4-0 trouncing of Libya in Uyo, will miss Galatasaray’s three UEFA Champions League matches and a Turkish Super Lig Istanbul derby against Fenerbache. After arriving in Turkey, Onyekuru underwent tests and club medics said he suffered a second degree strain and bleeding on the left side of his upper back muscle. Onyekuru is expected to be out up to four-six weeks which put his availability for the South Africa clash in doubt.
