Onyekuru sets to join AS Monaco

After much discussions negotiations, English Premier league side Everton FC have agreed a deal with French Ligue I side AS Monaco for Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Onyekuru spent last season on loan with Turkey Super Lig side Galatasaray where he netted 16 goals and win domestic doubles with the club.

The reports has it that the two clubs has agreed a deal worth €15 m for 5 years and the player will undergo medical this week to formalize the move.

Onyekuru failed to meet the necessary 75 percent national team requirement to be able to secure work permit that will qualify him to play for Everton in the English Premier league.

He played a single game as a substitute against Desert Foxes of Algeria in the just concluded 2019 African Cup of Nations for Nigeria's Super Eagles .

Apart from Galatasaray, Onyekuru has played on loan with Anderlecht of Belgium.
