Onyekuru Want Galatasaray Stay

By Sampson Adedeji

Despite Greek giant showing interest in acquiring his services, Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru has declared that he wants to stay with Turkey Super Lig side Galatasaray.

Olympiakos of Greece during the week shows interest in the fast paced winger who is loan to Black and Gold from the French Lique One side AS Monaco, BSN Reports.

Onyekuru joined Galatasaray from Monaco during the winter transfer window in January after he failed to nail down a regular playing time due to injury and changing of coaches.

Speaking in Turkey on Friday, he said the only thing paramount in his mind now is to remain in Turkey with Galatasaray.

“I wanted to stay in Galatasaray last year, but my club Everton had sold me to Monaco. I almost never played in Monaco.

I don’t want to experience the same frustration again,” he said.

Onyekuru is having a second loan deal with Galatasaray having had a successful outing with the club last season.
