Oparanozie 40-yard wonder strike wins goal of the week in France

Guingamp Desire Oparanozie's 40-yard wonderful goal was voted the goal f the week in the French Women League, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Despite being left out of the national team, former Nigeria's Super Falcons striker and captain Desire Oparanozie continued to make headlines in the French women league.

The power playing attacker has been out of the national team since Nigeria ouster from the 2019 FIFA Women World Cup in France despite being the captain to the competition.

She was on Monday announced the winner for the goal of the week following her long range strike against Paris FC.

The Super Falcons striker scored the winner for Guingamp with a 40-yards wonderful strike in the 92nd-minute  after Louise Fleury had put the home team ahead for a 2-0 win against Paris FC.

Oparanozie got 48 percent of the vote cast to beat other contender which includes Olympique Marseille’s Saki Kumagai who bagged 35 percent, Bordeaux’s Khadija Shaw had  13 percent while Marina Makanza of FC Fleury 91,had three percent of the votes cast.
