The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has released the best eleven players in the just concluded African Women Nations Cup in Ghana, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Surprisingly and for the first time ever only two super Falcons players were able to make the list. Super Falcons goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi and the team captain, Onome Ebi made the list while reigning African women best player, Asisat Oshoala and one of the best forward in the championship, Fransceca Ordega could only make the reserve team.
The Lionesses of Cameroon who bagged one of the three world cup tickets and third best team in the 2018 Women's Nations Cup have the highest number of players (4), they are; Tcheno, Feudijo, Ndoumbouk and Aboudi Onguene. Runners-up, Banyana Banyana of South Africa have three players in the CAF African Women Best XI, namely; Ramalepe, Van Wyk and Thembi Kgatlana. Ghana and Mali have one player each in the list.

Super Falcons on Saturday defeated Banyana Banyana of South Africa 4-3 on penalties to win the African Women Nations Cup for the ninth time after 120 minutes of play that ended goalless.
Lionesses of Cameroon had on Friday defeated Mali 4-2 in the thir-place match to book a place in the women's world cup in France.
