OSF: Female Football Final, Male Third Place To Hold on Wednesday By Niyi Busari The female football final at the ongoing Osun Sports Festival (OSF) will hold today Wednesday, October 6 between Olorunda and Ede North. Both teams forced their way through to the final by defeating their semi final opponents on Tuesday at the Ebunoluwa International School, Ofatedo. While Ede North claimed a resounding 2-1 win over Odo Otin with goals from Bunmi David and Ajibola Mariam and a consolidation by Chris Amaka of Odo Otin, Olorunda landed in the final via 4-3 penalty shootout victory after the regulation time ended goalless. Today's female final, which will kick off 12pm will be a tough encounter as the two sides parade quality players from the grassroot. In the meantime, the male's losers' final will take place between Orolu and Odo Otin. While Orolu suffered a painful 0-3 defeat to Ife East on penalties, Odo Otin were mercilessly beaten 3-0 by Ejigbo in the second semifinals The match which is slated to kick off 2pm will hold at Ebunoluwa International School, Ofatedo.
