Oshimen On Target As Eupen Shock Sporting Charleroi At Home
By Sampson Adedeji
Super Eagles invitee, Victor Oshimen 45th minute goal was not enough for Charleroi to get the three maximum points as they fell 1-2 at home to Eupen, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
It was a mixed feeling for Nigeria's Super Eagles striker as his goal counted for little as lowly-rated Eupen shocked Sporting Charleroi at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi.
Oshimen brought the hosts back into the game in the 44th minute after Alessio Castro Montes put Eupen ahead in the 7th minute.
Yousef Msakni netted the winning goal for the visitors in the 52nd minute and ensured a home defeat for Charleroi.
The former Flying Eagles striker has become an integral part of Charleroi since he moved to Belgium on loan from German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
Oshimen is among the forward invited by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to face Seychelles in the last match of AFCON 2019 qualifier and an international friendly against Egypt.
