The amazing performance of newly appointed Nigeria's Super Falcons captain Asisat Oshoala in the match day 3 of the Spanish Primera Iberdrola has not gone unnoticed as she is being nominated for player of the week, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

BSN reports that the lanky forward was the cynosure of all eyes on Saturday as FC Barcelona Femeni defeated Athletico Madrid Femeni side 6-1, scoring a brace in the encounter.

With that as a consideration Oshoala has been nominated for the player of the week for match day 3 of the league.

The former Liverpool forward was nominated alongside Zambia international Babara Banda and Spanish star Carlos Ferrez.

Since moving to Spain, Oshoala has continued to make a strong statement with her display for the Catalan side .

She led them to last Women UEFA champions league final against Olympic Lyon and also scored the club consolatory goal in their 4-1 loss.
