Osimhen Ranked Nigeria’s Most Expensive Player At €64m

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has been ranked Nigeria’s most expensive footballer according to the CIES Football Observatory which released the latest 100 top costliest players in the world on Monday.

According to Sportinglife.ng, Osimhen who scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 31 matches for French Ligue 1 side, Lille is valued at €64m which is the highest by any Nigerian on the list.

He is behind Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane among the top five Africa players.

The Nigerian footballer who has become one of Europe’s most sought after players after a brilliant season with French Ligue 1 side, Lille has also been rated the 66th in the world following a compilation of the market value of the players in the Top-5 leagues.

Another Nigerian player who made the list is Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who is valued at €50m, fifth in Africa, and 94th in the world.

Liverpool duo, Salah and Mane are valued at €145 and €139 respectively, while Arsenal’s Pepe is third with a value of €73m.

PSG star Kylian Mbappe is the most expensive player in the world with a value of €259.2.
