Osimhen Remains Nigeria's First Striker - Rohr By Sampson Adedeji Despite his absence in the Super Eagles camp, head coach, Gernot Rohr has reiterated that SC Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen remained the team's first striker, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Nigeria senior men's team are in camp in Austria for the double header international friendly matches against Desert Foxes of Algeria and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia . The former Sporting Charleroi attacker took excuse from the team but Rohr still maintained that Osimhen remained Super Eagles top attacker. Rohr made the statement during a press conference organised used on Thursday afternoon ahead of the match.
"Victor Osimhen is our leader in the attack, he has been doing well, we will miss him but of course we have to organize because this can happen in the tournament.
We have a lot of strikers in the squad. We have to handle the situation," he said. Osimhen is expected to return to the team attack for the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
