Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola Humiliates Former Super Eagles Stars

Osun state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has sacked the players, coaches and entire members of Osun United and Osun Babes Boards, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Osun United Board which was constituted 8th May 2019 was announced sacked on 8th July 2020, according to the state government, the decision is taken to allow overhauling of sports.
The announcement came as rude shock to former Super Eagles stars, Ademola Adesina, the President of Osun United and Bright Omokharo, Head Coach of the Omoluabi Giants. Without prior notice to the two ex-internationals, Osun state governor, Oyetola without following due process humiliated the two former Super Eagles players, Ademola Adesina and Bright Omokharo out of office.
In a statement made available to www.BSNSports.com.ng credited to the state Commissioner of Sports, Yemi Lawal, the decision was taken following a review to draw out plans to give sports in the state a new meaning. He added that as part of the restructuring sports in the state is to have a sport organizer in in all local government to develop template applicable to each state.
In his words, "Sports is a little bit backward in the State because of some untowards practices in the sector. The performing athletes cum contract staff getting stipends from the coffers of the state government will have their remuneration stopped for now because we are starting all over again as approved by the Chief Executive Officer of the Staten His Excellency Alh. Gboyega Oyetola.
"Going forward, there is need for serious restructuring as graciously approved by the Mr Governor, anything like contract staff, performing athletes, even players of Osun United and Osun Babes wil have their salary stopped henceforth."
Meanwhile, the National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers, NANPF, seeked clarification on the sack of Osun Unite and Osun Babes players and officials without following due process as contained in the relevant provision of the rule of the Nigeria National League, NNL.
"Information available to Union suggest that the management of your football club, Osun United and Osun Babes Football clubs have sacked the entire players and officials of both clubs without following due process as contained in the relevant provision of the rule of the Nigeria national League and the Women Professional Football League…
Taking unilateral decision to sack players without following due process is not a good idea, and totally unacceptable by the players union. We therefore for the sake of industrial peace and harmony to call a meeting of all relevant stakeholders yo resolve the issue amicably without compromising the right of players and officials of the clubs."
