Osun United Proceed on Christmas and New Year Break, To Resume January 2nd

Following a 2-week break declared by the Secretariat of the Nigeria National League (NNL), the management of Osun United has asked players and technical crew to proceed on a week break to reunite with their families and friends to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
This is contained in a statement by the management of the club, communicated to the Media Officer through the Team Manager, Kabiru Adekunle.
The Omoluabi Giants, in their last match unjustly lost to Ibom Youth FC, following a controversial 90th minute penalty awarded by Imo State Born female referee, Patience Nweke.
Nonetheless, the team currently sits 4th on the log of Group B1 on 9 points, 4 points adrift the league leader 3Sc and will, on Saturday January 11, 2020 host the second placed Gateway United in the week 6 fixtures.
The statement further hinted that the team would resume on Thursday, January 2, 2020 while training commences on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Osogbo Township Stadium.
The management commended the players and the technical crew for their hard fighting spirit so far and appreciated the state government, Sports Commissioner, fans and supporters for their full backing and urged everyone to be modest and moderate in the celebration of Xmas and New Year with a prayer for the success of the team.
