Ottasolo Pick Win In Lagos State NNL Pre Season Opener By Omolagba Oluwayemi The Lagos State Nigeria National League (NNL) Pre Season kicked off on Thursday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere Lagos State, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Two games were played with the first game played between Ottasolo FC and Joy Cometh, and the other game played between Smart City FC and G16. In the first game, Ottasolo defeated Joy Cometh 2-0. Ogunjimi Samuel opened the scoring for Ottasolo FC from the penalty spot in the 20th minute and Emmanuel Erpeyong added the 2nd for Ottasolo in the 31st minute. Ottasolo went into the break comfortably and in the second half. There was no goal to be celebrated in the 2nd half as both teams find it could not find the back of the net. In the second game, both G16 and Smart City FC scored first half penalties in a game which ended 1-1. Habeeb Oyebanji scored from the spot for Smart City in the 24th minute, and Ayoola Ibrahim levelled the scores for G16 in the 30th minute from the spot as well. Speaking after the game, coach of G16, Thomas Olufemi said his boys played to instructions and that made him happy despite the draw. "I feel great because all players played what I told them, so I'm very impressed with what they played." "They're a lot of new players in the match and by the time we get to training tomorrow, we'll correct the lapses from today's game." And on his path, coach of Smart City FC, coach Gafar said he's using this preseason tournament to test his new players. "It wasn't a bad game. We're using it to access our new players so about 95% of the players are new and we just want to see what they can offer but So far so good its not bad but in the next game we'll try to meet up so that we can play better." "We will go back to the drawings board, to the dressing room to address the lapses so that we can improve on it and get better." The tournament continues on Friday and its aim is to prepare Lagos based sides for the coming NNL season
