Owena Kings of Akure and Tojemarine Academy continue to gain ground in their quest of qualifying for the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League as they recorded victories at the National Division One Handball League.
In the Matchday 6 fixtures of the Male Category, Owena Kings consolidated on their lead on the group B standings as they defeated Rivers Bullet 24-18 while Tojemarine still maintain the lead on group A log as they got a 21-16 victory over Confluence Snappers.
Other matches in the male category saw Correctional Boys Maintain second place on group B with a 19-18 victory over Benue Buffaloes while Adorable Stars defeated Suleja Shooters 29-24.
Desert Warriors defeated Unity Boys of Abuja 21-16 while Gateway edged out Mindscope 20-17.
Bayelsa United defeated Team Akwa Ibom 15-13 while Benue Buffaloes defeated Desert Warriors 17-14.
In the female category, Confluence Queens earned a comfortable 21-9 over Gallant Babes while Abia Valliants faltered in their quest of returning to the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League after they play a 21-21 draw with Mindscope Academy.
Confluence Queens defeated Delta Force 13-11 while Bayelsa Queens still lead the pack of the women category as they defeated Gallant Babes on Anambra 20-12.
