Oyah Sports Defeat FC Solid 2-0 In 2019 NLO Opener By Niyi Busari Oyah Sports of Suleja on Thursday defeated FC Solid of Plateau State 2-0 in the 2019 Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) opener decided at the Suleja Township stadium. The match which was livestreamed to showcase the third tier of Nigerian football to the world has in attendance Board members and stakeholders of the NLO as well as NFF officials. As expected, the match lived up to the expectation of football lovers as both sides displayed great football artistry but were unable to break the deadlock until Ogadi Ozuwra put the hosts ahead in the 29th when he converted from the spot kick. The first half ended 1-0 but it took a different turn as the visitors aimed at canceling the lead in early minutes of the restart of the encounter. Despite the pressure, the home side were resolute and later came out to relaunch attack on FC Solid having soaked pressure from the opposing side. In the 72nd minute Michael Ode doubled the advantage also from the spot as Oyah Sports fans were in jubilation mood seeing their team entertaining them with good play and goals. On matchday one of the 2019 Nigeria Nationwide League One, thirteen (13) matches were played where ten home wins, two away wins and one draw were recorded. The two away wins recorded saw Katsina United defeated JNR Danburan 1-2 away from home and also Ramcy FC outscored Sky Limit 2-3 in a five goal thriller. TSM FC and KJ United game which ended 2-2 was the only draw match recorded on Thursday.
