Former Nigeria's Flying Eagles defender Valentine Ozornwafor made his debut for Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray in the preseason friendly played against German Side Augsburg.

The energetic defender was introduced in the 46th minute for Yunus Arkgun as Galatasaray suffered a 4-1 defeat.

The former Enyimba defender switched to Turkey just before the FIFA U20 World cup in Poland.

”I’m a very young player. Everyday I learn something new. This game gave me an experience. The most important thing for me is to learn something new everyday.

"If you are a professional player, you need to adapt to the team as soon as possible. The new season is fast approaching and the manager want me to get used to the team as soon as possible," he said.

Apart from Flying Eagles Ozornwafor was also part of Nigeria's Dream Team VII that defeated Libya 4-0 in the second leg of the U23 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
