Parallel Players Union: PFAN Constitutes Conflict Resolution And Reconciliation Committee By Niyi Busari The Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) has constituted conflict resolution and reconciliation committee, BSNsportscom.ng can report. to invite with the agrieved members for dialogue. The committee has only two weeks to invite, dialogue with the aggrieved members in order to find a way of admitting them back into PFAN. This is contained in the communique signed by the Secretary General of the Union, Emmanuel Babayaro after the Executive Council virtual meeting on Friday. The committee among other responsibilities is to invite the members who felt aggrieved, set up a parallel body and see how they can be readmitted. The Executive Council during the meeting pass a vote of confidence on the Tijani Babangida led Players Union and also declared the deplorable situation of the players a pandemic. The communique reads in parts; "That the Executive Council immediately constitute the Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation Committee to invite aggrieved members for Dialogue. The committee have two weeks to complete the urgent task. The BOT and National Executive Council paid glowing tributes and gave their votes of confidence to the Tijani Babangida led Administrative Council. "The meeting gave kudos to the PFAN Task Force. The meeting directed that the Administrative Council seat with the Task Force with a view to further streamline its functions. The meeting gave go ahead for some key new appointments within the PFAN National and state levels . The meeting empowered the Disciplinary committee on issues relating Due Process. The meeting approved the need for a meeting of the National Executive Council as soon as possible." It added. "The meeting approved a PFAN World press conference. The PFAN BOT and National Executive Council thanked all PFAN Comrades for their unalloyed support and Loyalty to PFAN, the strongest brand in the country. The meeting officially declared the deplorable situation of the Nigerian professional player a pandemic. The meeting expressly approved that the Administrative Council should use every Legal and diplomatic means necessary to secure justice for our comrade professional players." The PFAN came into existence after the coming together of two former Nigeria Players Unions. The development that was welcomed by many sports administrators, ex-internationals, active Nigerian players as well as member of the public.
