Paul Onuachu Reveals Deep Secrets Behind His Latest Brace Of Goals

Racing Genk of Belgium striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu has blown the lid off the secrets that helped him enact another brace of goals for his club last weekend in the Belgian Jupiler League, BSNSports.com.ng reports. After notching home his 13th league goal and 15th overall so far this season for the club he joined last season from FC Midtjylland of Denmark, Onuachu declared that it was basically the reward of hard work for him. Onuachu equally admitted he was excited hearing that he had equaled a 10-year goals record in Belgium, with the 26-year-old in-form hitman having netted 14 goals in 15 league appearances for table-topping KRC, for who Jelle Vossen was the last player to hit the same mark. Dieumerci Mbokani of Antwerp has previously scored 13 goals in 15 matches, but Onuachu, whose closest rivals are four goals behind him, is now leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, though he netted only nine goals last season, and he admits it has been a major transformation for him in the ongoing campaign. The towering striker, who keeps struggling for form when playing for the Super Eagles, also thanked his club pals for supporting his efforts, which he believes have been made possible mostly because of the tactical formation outlined for the team by their coach. Now that he is the leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, Onuachu acknowledged that he cannot afford to rest on his oars, as he expects to get tougher attention from opposing defenders, even as he admitted it was not easy to score another brace in Sunday’s 4-2 victory over Royal Antwerp. The 26-year-old product of FC Ebedie of Shagamu, who last season hit home only nine goals for Genk, was equally happy that his Nigerian compatriot, Cyriel Dessers was also on target for Genk and took his haul to four for the season, while also hoping to again make hay in their next game against RSC Anderlecht. Onuachu declared after helping Genk get their seventh straight win: “We wanted to show that we could also play our game against a top club. We did that today: we were stronger than them. No, it was certainly not easy. I had to work hard for this. Like that first goal: I trained hard for that this week.”
