  PFAN Announces New Appointment of Six Members By Niyi Busari Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) on Monday announced appointment of another six members. The appointment according to the President of the Union is with immediate effect. This is contained in a letter signed by the Secretary-General of the Players Union, Emmanuel Babayaro and made available to BSN Sports. In the letter, former Super Eagles and Shooting Stars defender, Patrick Paschal was appointed Financial Secretary, while Shuaibu Yakubu is now the Union's Public Relation Officer (PRO), former Super Falcons star, Ann Chiejine is the Director, Women Affairs as Victor Ezeji is named Director League Affairs. Others are; Ogidi Mohammed Ex-Officio as Ubale Yusuf is the Media Aide. The President, PFAN, Tijani Babangida is optimistic that the appointees are capable of doing their jobs diligently and also encouraged them to bring their professional expertise and experience on the job. Babayaro reiterated that the mandate of the Players Union remains sacrosanct and all officials are expected to maintain high level of discipline and passion to discharge their duties. The letter read in parts; "I have been directed by the President to convey the following appointments; 1. Paschal Patrick - Financial Secretary . 2.Shuaibu Yakubu-PRO. 3. Ann Chiejine- Director, Women Affairs. 4. Victor Ezeji-Director, League Affairs. 5. Ogidi Mohammed-Ex Officio. 6. Ubale Yusuf-Media Aid. The President expressed his confidence in the appointees while encouraging them to bring their professional expertise and experience to bear on the job. Please bear in mind that the mandate of the union remains sacrosanct and its officials are expected to maintain a very high leveled discipline and passion in the discharge of their duties. The appointments are effective immediately. Please accept the assurances of the president, Tijani Babangida's esteemed regards. CONGRATULATIONS!" Recall that PFAN on Saturday 21st November, 2020 in Lagos inaugurated their Board members, this follows the merging of former two Players Unions (NANPF and NANF) to form Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN).
