Pinnick Confirms Payment Of Super Eagles Outstanding Bonus, Allowance By Niyi Busari President, Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has confirmed the payment of all outstanding bonuses and the allowance the federation owed the Super Eagles, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The FIFA Council Member confirmed this in an exclusive interview with BSN Sports saying that the federation should be commended to pay the backlogs of match bonus and allowance despite financial difficulty the NFF is going through. "Yes, the NFF has paid the backlog of match bonus and allowance owed the Super Eagles. We are going through financial difficulty right now but despite that, we still strive to pay the players. I think with this, we deserve commendation." Pinnick told BSN Sports. The Super Eagles were last paid in 2019 for their quarterfinal win over South Africa in the African Nations Cup finals in Egypt. The outstanding started counting from the third-place win over Tunisia after a semi-final loss to Algeria. Nigeria before then had an undefeated streak to Algeria, until the semi-finals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations when the North African prevailed over the three-time African champions to go on to the final and beat Senegal to emerge champions. Nigeria next two matches in the African 2022 World Cup qualifiers have been shifted till September following the restrictions of some Covid 19 affected African countries
