Pinnick Denies Receipt of N244m From Sponsorship Largesse, Admits Receipt of Over N40m From LMC

The President, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick has confirmed receipt of over Forty Million naira One million naira (N40m) from the League Management Company (LMC), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The FIFA Council Member, however denied receiving the sum of Two hundred and forty-four million naira (N244m) from the sponsorship funds but confirmed to our correspondent the receipt of over Forty Million naira (N40m) from the LMC in an exclusive interview after BSN Sports sighted the statement of accused with the Nigeria anti-graft agency (EFCC) submitted in the High Court, Abuja.
"I received a monthly N1M honorarium from the LMC which is paid into my Zenith Bank account. I also received funds whenever I carry out activities or program on behalf of the NFF. The statement reads
Meanwhile, LMC is owing the match officials, match delegates and staff for the past two seasons.
Investigation by BSN Sports revealed that the N1m is not in the agreement between NFF and LMC. The League Management on its part, has failed to meet up with the agreed payment of 15% net-profit to the football governing body meant for the development of the game at the grassroots.
According to the reliable source, the N244m alert was allegedly paid into his account after three sponsors of the NFF paid their 2021 sponsorship funds in March 2021.
"N244m was never paid to my account. As President of NFF, I get a monthly honorarium of N1m which I believe they paid for only a little above 40 months. My predecessor also benefited same." He told BSN Sports.
