Citing Article 13B of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, statute which states that chairmen of League Management Company, LMC, Nigeria National League, NNL, Nigeria Nationwide League Division One, NLO as well as Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL must emerge by election and not by appointment, Barr. Igbokwe said the appointments of these men in their various positions are illegal and described them as criminals. Igbokwe who argued that the Amaju Pinnick-led NFF decision to appoint leagues chairmen instead of election created the problems and mess Nigeria football at all level is witnessing in our league where league champions, promotion and relegation of teams are determined by board members' decision and not by merit. He labelled all the leagues chairmen illegal going by Article 13b of NFF statute of 2010. He accused Amaju Pinnick of going against the NFF statute to appoint the league chairmen who messed up the whole system. He added that LMC and Club Owners decision to end the NPFL after 24 matches and with 14 matches unplayed, has ridiculed Nigeria league which culminated in CAF reducing Nigerian clubs participating in CAF Competitions from four to two. The NNL in a Congress in Lagos last year, had agreed that four teams will be promoted at the end of the season but the managers of the league compromised when the same set of people in a congress on Saturday agreed to allow eight teams gain promotion to the NPFL. He questioned the rationale behind the decision that no team will be relegated, no league champions but representative. Igbokwe speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng correspondent said: "Amaju Pinnick, Chidi Ofor Okenwa, Shehu Dikko are bunch of criminals. "Amaju Pinnick went against the NFF statute to appoint leagues chairmen which they all know is illegal. "They have succeeded in retrogressing the league back to 20 years ago. They allowed NNL to use NALCOMA to defraud innocent Nigerians of One hundred million naira (N100,000,000) when eight clubs paid Twelve million and Five hundred thousand (N12,000,000) naira each for registration for a spot in the NNL. "They are bunch of criminals and are one leg inside the jail. By the time we are done with them, they will all be swept away. Tell them I said so," he concluded.
