PL Round Up: Iwobi's bagged an assist, Fulham moved out of relegation zone

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first goal in six matches as Arsenal ended a run of three straight Premier League defeats, overcoming Gabriel Magalhaes' second-half red card to hold on for a 1-1 draw against Southampton. The Gunners' recent problems deepened when Theo Walcott opened the scoring in the 18th minute to give Southampton the lead against his former club. The hosts responded after half-time as Aubameyang (52) ended a run of 648 minutes without a Premier League goal at the Emirates Stadium to bring his side level, but more ill-discipline thwarted the Gunners' recovery. Gabriel was sent off (62) for two bookable offences in the space of four minutes as Arsenal were forced to end a second straight match with 10-men. Fulham moved out of the Premier League's bottom three on goal difference after earning a point in a goalless draw with Brighton at Craven Cottage. Both sides had chances to take all three points in a much livelier second half, as Adam Webster's header struck the crossbar and Seagulls goalkeeper Robert Sanchez denied both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ademola Lookman. Sebastien Haller scored a spectacular equaliser with an overhead kick to earn West Ham a point against London rivals Crystal Palace. Christian Benteke, who was later sent off, had put Palace on course for an away win at London Stadium with his third goal in as many games. Benteke beat Issa Diop to Joel Ward's superb delivery to plant a diving header beyond Lukasz Fabianski. But the Hammers levelled when Ivory Coast forward Haller showed wonderful technique to send an overhead kick beyond Vicente Guaita after meeting Vladimir Coufal's cross. Benteke, who had earlier caught Angelo Ogbonna with his elbow, was dismissed 20 minutes from time for a second yellow card for a similar offence on Tomas Soucek. Three goals in the final 15 minutes - including a Jack Harrison screamer - got Leeds back to winning ways with a 5-2 victory over Newcastle, after their set-piece frailties almost cost them again at Elland Road. The hosts - who had lost their last two and only won one of their first six home league games - dominated throughout the contest but needed Patrick Bamford (35) to pop up with his ninth goal of the season after Jeff Hendrick (26) had tucked in against the run of play. Newcastle saw a strong penalty shout for Callum Wilson waved away not long before Rodrigo glanced in Jack Harrison's fine cross (61) to put Leeds in charge - but once again Marcelo Bielsa's side were undone from a set-piece, with Ciaran Clark heading in a corner (65). Leeds weren't to be denied their deserved victory, though, and Stuart Dallas (77) and Ezgjan Alioski (85) finished clinically before the impressive Harrison blasted in from the edge of the box to wrap up the three points in style. The result sees Leeds remain in 14th but move level with 13th-placed Newcastle - who have a game in hand - on 17 points. Roberto Firmino's last-minute header broke Tottenham's stubborn resistance at Anfield and sent Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table. An entertaining encounter looked set to end in stalemate before - with the game entering stoppage time - Firmino soared to flash a header high past Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris from Andrew Robertson's corner. Liverpool flew at Spurs in the opening exchanges and went ahead when Mohamed Salah's shot took a big deflection off Eric Dier and looped over Lloris. Spurs had barely left their own half but struck with a counter punch seven minutes later when Son Heung-min raced clear to slip a composed finish past Alisson. Spurs actually had the better chances in the second half, with Steven Bergwijn firing wide then hitting a post when clean through and Harry Kane heading over from point-blank range.
