Plateau United Announce 19-Day Holiday

By Admin The management of plateau united football club of jos has embarked on a 19 day recess after the team failed to progress beyond the group stage of the Aiteo cup competition. General Manager of the club, Pius Henwan while briefing the players and technical crew said the decision to give them the break to enable them rest after a hectic season and prepare ahead of the new one which kick off next month. Henwan who regretted the inability of the club to retain their Nigeria professional football league title due to the leadership crisis that engulfed the Nigeria football federation, however thank God for his mercies and protection during the outgone season. He commended the players, coaches and management staff for their hardwork and commitment to duty during the previous season and urged them to continue with the tempo. The general management while expressing disappointment with the team ouster from the Aiteo cup after they finished third at the Gombe centre, challenged them to be more committed and remained focus next time. With the new season set for next month, the general manager directed the technical crew to come up with the list of players they want to retain and those to be released for ratification. Henwan used the opportunity to assure the players that efforts are on to ensure the release of the governors reward to them for winning the league last season, stressing that they will receive the money in no distant time. Head coach of the team, Audu Isa Pele praised management of the team for creating the enabling environment for them to discharge their duties effectively and assured that they will do their best to retain the team at the top where the team belong. Isa pele who spoke on behalf of the head coach, Kennedy Boboye restated their commitment to the cause of team added that they will continue to work as a team in order to realised the team set target. Captain of the team, Golbe Elisha who spoke on behalf of the players, thank managemrnt for the tremendous support and appealed to management to ensure the release of the governor,s cash reward to them to enable them take enjoy their break with their families and loved ones.
