Plateau United Goal Machine Omoyele Dreams Europe Move
By Niyi Busari
Plateau United prolific centre forward, Tosin Abraham Omoyele, is eyeing a move to Europe since that puts him on a bigger stage to showcase his talent.
The goal keeper's nightmare who idolized Barcelona's Lionel Messi however favors Europe as probably the next destination.
Omoyele who had shown no signs of slowing down has quickly tagged his next move as crucial upon the expiration of his 3 years contract in the Cold City of Jos.
The Agege born clinical goal poacher rose through the ranks in the defunct COD United to establish and endeared himself in the hearts of the technical crew and fans, the Mageco Academy trainee who later formed a deadly attacking force with former team mates Anthony Omaka, Stephen Anyanwu, Odunayo Ogunsuyi and enterprising Chinedu Emmanuel, said he fancy a move to Europe.
His exploit with COD United earned him invitation to Osun United, the team that transformed his career and gave him fame as he was able to score 18 goals (13 league goals and 5 goals in the Aiteo Cup) in a season.
"I always have the ambition of playing at the top, I have tasted actions in Egyptian league which is somewhat more organised, there are lots of offer that came my way in Cairo but final agreement couldn't be reached on time with Plateau United," Omoyele who was once trailed by the likes of Abia Warriors, Elkanemi Warriors Rivers Utd, Sunshine Stars and Enyimba Int'l FC informed Family United By Football (FUBF).
Having performed impressively and scored 7 goals in his first season with Plateau United, Omoyele was invited to the Home Based Super Eagles camp.
He played on international stage for Nigeria at the WAFU Cup and the friendly game against Club Atlético de Madrid and he has four (4) caps to his credit.
With 57 career goals, it is reported that Omoyele's switch to Enyimba FC is imminent but the move has since been muted by the former league champion, Plateau United. Omoyele who is into final phase of his contract with Plateau Utd desperately needs a move away at the end of the season.
"My next move would be crucial, I can't say where I am going at the moment but before the end of the season, my agent would determine that, indeed I need to move ahead," Omoyele who picks Akila Jesse as his favourite player in Plateau United told FUBF.
