  Players' Welfare Committee Won't Spare Any Club, Administrator Owing Players - Chairman By Niyi Busari Chairman, Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) Welfare Committee, Tajudeen Disu has said that the days when clubs, Nigeria Football Federation owing footballers are over, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The former Nigeria international on Monday was appointed as Chairman Players Welfare Committee and has swung into action immediately. In an exclusive interview with BSN Sports the former Nigeria national team defender admitted the work will be challenging but ready to face it headlong by fighting for the rights of Nigeria footballers. "A whole lot of things have been happening with Nigerian players and to be honest with you, it is problems that needed immediate attention. When these players sign their contract papers, some of them don't have their contract with them. "Players sign contract agreement without contract papers and at the end of the day, they suffer for it without anyone coming to their aids. These players are owed backlogs of salary, bonus and allowance and at the end of the day, they'll be sacked and after sacking them the money is gone. And there's nobody fighting for them. The club managements are doing all these and get away with it. The money will bet there kept in a bank for about three months and expect players to play with empty stomachs. While they're getting interest on the money kept in bank, the players fail to take care of themselves and families and you want them to perform well on the pitch. "And when the team is not playing well they will sack the coach, transfer players and leave the main culprit the management. "Once you're a player, if you're owed either by national team or football clubs in Nigeria, we will retrieve your money. We will go all out and fight for the money. Everybody knows this is a major problem of Nigerian clubs, they fail to pay the players and want them to play well. In a letter signed by the secretary general of the Union, Emmanuel Babayaro, a seven-member was constituted to look into cases of injustice meted out on Nigeria players. The letter reads; "I have been directed by the President, Comrade Tijani Babangida MON to convey his approval for the constitution of the welfare committee as follows;  Hon comrade Tajudeen Disu - chairman, Comrade Jumbo Awala, comrade Princewill Deduke - secretary, Comrade Ann Chiejine, Nasiru Jubril, Mukhtar Zico, Comrade Victor Ezeji. "The esteemed committee have been saddled with the responsibilities amongst many of;  As a matter of urgency, look into the many reported and documented cases of injustice meted to Nigerian professional players and proffer solutions.  Work with the commissioners, state coordinators and any other relevant organizations on data collation of Nigerian Professional players. Conduct a very exhaustive research and investigations into the direct and remote causes of the problems faced by the Nigerian player, come up with blueprint on creative and practical solutions .  To expand their scope of work as may be necessary after consultations and approval from the president. The president also admonishes the committee on complaisance and laxity while urging that the principles of this administration of Dialogue, Diplomacy and Partnership be maintained at all levels of engagement by the committee. While expressing his absolute confidence in the qualities of the comrades and the abilities they possess, the president has charged the committee to repose the Union's confidence. The committee has been given four (4) months to complete its assignment and should Lias with the General Secretary for modalities. The committee is also directed to consult and work with the Legal and Players intermediary departments of the Union."
