  Poor Arrangement Kills Flying Eagles Ambition of Playing At The AFCON, World Cup - Tijani Babangida ...Says NFF Has To Do Something Urgent About Nigeria Football By Sampson Adedeji President, Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), Tijani Babangida, has said that something urgent needs to be done to arrest the dwindling situation of Nigeria football, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Nigeria national teams in recent time have crashed out of major tournaments. The Men and Women national teams failed to qualify for 2020 Olympic men, the home based Super Eagles couldn't qualify for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) and presently the country will not take part in the U20 African Cup Of Nations and FIFA U20 World cup. The former Ajax and Super Eagles winger while speaking to BSNSports.com.ng, advised that the crux of the problem must be located and adequate solution should be done. He blamed the ouster of the Flying Eagles from the ongoing WAFU U20 which also led to losing the opportunity to play at the African Youth Championship and World Cup on poor arrangement by the NFF. "That's is very bad situation now because our Flying Eagles is a team we always look up to, to be in the Olympic team, then Super Eagles. But unfortunately they are already out of the Nations Cup and then FIFA World Cup, I think with the nature of this team, if we take it very seriously we should have camped these boys for at least three to five months before the competition. "But we only selected them in five weeks and is a rush rush thing, quick appointments and rushing of players. I think other nations have their teams earlier than us, that is an excuse to say something like this, I believe the poor arrangement kill the team. "We have to do something very urgent about Nigeria Football because most of the teams are already out, the situation is bad for Nigeria football. Something has to be done, we have to look inward to check where is the problem , why we can make good selection and why is corruption in the national team? People have to pay to have their players in the national team, we have to checkmate them, not only appointing and letting them go on," he said. Tijani Babangida was part of Nigeria's Dream Team that conquered the world in 1996 and was also part of Super Eagles to 1998 World Cup in France and 2000 Africa cup of Nations.
