Pre-Season: Osayi The Hero As MFM FC Clinch Ottasolo Cup In Lagos By Omolagba Oluwayemi Just like in the semi final against Lobi Stars, Osayi Kingdom once again produced some master class saves as MFM FC beat Sunshine Stars 4-3 on penalties to win the Ottasolo preseason cup in Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The game between the two South West giants ended in a goalless draw after the regulation time after an interesting 90 minutes played at the wet turf of the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Surulere Lagos. Moments of intense pressure was witnessed from both benches which makes one begin to wonder if its actually a preseason tournament as Olalekan Gabriel, coach of MFM FC got sent off at a point in the game although he was wrongly adjudged by the referee and 4th official for agitative actions close to the touchline. And on the pitch, tackles kept flying in from different angles and the gimmicks from the Lagos fans to intimidate the officials didn't work as they stood their ground, confidently taking the right decisions although not all were correct. The Akure gunners bench and supporters as well in their numbers made life a little unbearable for the officials while trying to playing on the intelligence of the home supporters. It was indeed a game more than friendly but both sides ended up hugging and snapping pictures together at the end of the tournament. The entire coaching crew of MFM FC will definitely be grateful to Osayi Kingdom for his two penalties saves that gave the Olukoya Boys the trophy. It ended in Lagos 4-3 in favor of MFM FC.
