Manchester City reached the summit of the Premier League for the first time this season after an irresistible performance saw them sweep past West Brom 5-0, BSNsports.com.ng reports.
Joao Cancelo assisted IIkay Gundongan (6) for an early lead before scoring the second himself (20). Gundongan then completed his brace on the half-hour mark and two minutes into first half additional time, Riyad Mahrez made it 4-0.
Mahrez then scintillating assist for Raheem Sterling (57) who made it 5-0 for the cityzens.
City have now moved to the top of the league, one point above rivals, United.
In the South Coast, Nicolas Pepe (8), Bukayo Saka (39) and Alexander Lacazette (72) all scored as Arsenal came from a goal down to win 3-1, avoiding a double defeat in three days from Southampton.
Stuart Armstrong (3) scored Southampton's only goal.
It was a goal feast in London as West Ham United beat the London rival, Crystal Palace 3-2 to move into the top four.
Christian Benteke (3) opened the scoring but Thomas Soucek (9) levelled things with his first of the evening. He then shoot West Ham ahead (25) going into the break.
Craig Dawson (65) made it a two goal lead before Michy Batshuayi (90+7) reduced the deficit for the host.
Rafinha (17) got a goal and assist to his name as Leeds United beats Newcastle United 2-1 at the Saint James Park.
Miguel Almiron (57) levelled things for the host before Jack Harrison (61) ensured Marcelo Bielsa side returned home with the 3 points.
