Premier League: Everton Join The Race To Sign Sergio Aguero By Admin Everton are the latest club queuing up to sign Sergio Aguero when he leaves Manchester City this summer. The Argentine striker, 32, will be available on a free transfer when he ends his decade-long association with City. Chelsea, Tottenham Leeds United, Barcelona and Inter Milan have all been mooted as potential options for Aguero when he departs the Etihad Stadium. Though the Toffees wouldn't be able to match Aguero's City salary of £240,000-a-week, they would reportedly make up any shortfall in wage with a substantial signing-on fee. Aguero scored City's opening goal in their 2-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday to put them on the brink of a third Premier League title in four seasons. The striker has only managed four goals during an injury-affected season but can leave City on a high by claiming a trophy Treble of Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup. His astonishing return of 258 goals in 386 matches during a decade of service at City means Aguero will be in huge demand in the summer. Aguero's time with the club has seen them win four Premier League titles with a fifth imminent the FA Cup and six League Cups. He needs just one more goal to equal Wayne Rooney's record of 183 Premier League strikes for a single club. And his manager Pep Guardiola was full of praise for him after Saturday's win at Selhurst Park. 'How many times has he done it?' Guardiola said. 'What a goal, what a player and what a man. I'm completely in love with him. He is an absolute top legend, an extraordinary player. 'The people cannot believe it but we've missed him. We haven't been able to use him many times, but maybe we got him back at the right time. He knows he has a special quality.'
