PRESIDENCY NOT AWARE OF MALAMI'S LETTER OVER-RULING SUPREME COURT By Admin The Presidency says it is not aware of any letter from the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN directing the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung to stop implementing the ruling of the Supreme Court on the NFF leadership crisis. Malami had in a letter dated July 20th,2018 addressed to the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung asked him not to go ahead with the enforcement of the Supreme Court ruling on April 27,2018 uphelding the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Jos that Amb. Chris Giwa was the legal President of the NFF pending the determination of the substantive suit. In the said letter the Attorney General described the ruling of the apex Court as "one sided court orders" and insinuating that Fifa laws were superior to the laws of the land. The Minister had also alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari had directed him to write the Minister of Sports on the matter, even as he had also earlier written the Minister to go ahead with the implementation of the Court orders. In a swift reaction however, Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said the Presidency was not aware and that the Attorney General should be in a better position to explain the directive. It should be recalled that on the strength of the July 20th copied the Inspector General of Police and Director General, Department of State Device, the Amaju Pinnick led invited the DSS last Monday to take over the Glasshouse.
