President Buhari Optimistic of Eaglets Winning FIFA U17 Title For 6th Time

Nigeria president, Muhammadu Buhari expressed optimism in the country's U17 national team to go on and win the world cup title, for the sixth time, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Golden Eaglets of Nigeria on Saturday came from 1-2 down to edge Hungary 4-2 in their first group B match at the ongoing 2019 U17 World Cup.

Following their excellent display, President Muhammadu who congratulated the team said he was proud of the African representative.

He stated further that he has no doubt that they will win the title for the record sixth time.

Nigeria hold the record highest number of title wins (5 times) at the FIFA U17 World Cup follow by Brazil who have 3 titles.

Nigeria president made this known on his official Twitter handle.

"Our opening game in Brazil last night was a wonderful display that I am very proud of. Congratulations to the Golden Eaglets! I have no doubt in my mind that they are determined to win the #FIFAU17WC for an unparalleled sixth time."
