Principal Cup: Sani Lulu Showers Encomium on Minister of Sports By Niyi Busari Former President, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Sani Lulu showered encomium on the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare for his achievements in sports development over the last two years. Lulu said the Minister is a God-sent for reviving the forgotten Principal Cup which his school, Fosla Academy, won the first edition. Before he assumed Office, Principal Cup were held at state level and had become a thing of the past before it was rescucitated twenty five years later. Lulu said, "This Fosla Academy like any other school that strived to be the best. It started 10 years ago and we have involved in many competitions but the rescucitated Principal Cup completed the dream of the School because it concided with our 10 years celebration. He continued, "This wouldn't have happened if the Minister has not organised and made Principal Cup a national competition. Your (Sunday Dare) appointment made me happy because we have been winning trophies but winning this great trophy made my dream come true." Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare while commending the Proprietor, Fosla Academy, Sani Lulu, stated that Nigerians should learn football development model from him for grooming tomorrow's leaders for Nigeria. "This afternoon, I am welcoming you as the Champions of the Principal Cup. I want to thank Sani Lulu for investing in the young ones building their future. I want to thank you for all the works you've done while in office as NFF President. You found a way through Fosla Academy to achieve what you've not been able to achieve while in office as NFF President." "I want to also recommend to other Nigerians to see what you're doing as model." Fosla Academy won the maiden National Principal Cup after defeating Comprehensive College of Kaduna 2-0 at the Training Pitch of the Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja .
