The president of Handball Federation (HFN) of Nigeria Mr. Samuel Ocheho has revealed that the title sponsor of Handball Premier League, Prudent Energy is committed to the development of the sport in Nigeria.

Ocheho who on Monday was a guest on Sports Zone on Lagos Talk 91.3FM to talk about the forthcoming commencement of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League also highlighted the dividend ever since Prudent Energy identified with the nation's top flight league.

He stated that the sponsor rescued the league from decline when they took over and helped in the training of

"In last 10-15 years handball has suffered a decline, in the bid to stem this decline, we sort to seek sponsorships for the premier league and Prudent energy accepted to partner us and we can see the impact "

"They also sponsored the training of the technical officials (coaches and umpires) of the league and national teams.

"While there is no actual price cap the sponsor has agreed to take on the league expenses as long as they approve the budget after going through the necessary scrutiny"

He also revealed that the league will be televised live online via facebook as it was last season.

The final phase of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2019 will commence on Friday October 4 to Thursday 17th 2019.
