Prudent Energy Handball League Day 3 Update

Matchday 3 of the Prudent Energy Handball League phase 2 holding at the Rowe Park Sports Center, Yaba, Lagos was even more exciting than the previous matchdays as the men and women teams understood the need to perform to uppermost level in the league.
The day began with the women league setting the pace for the excitement that was in store for the fans who trouped to the sports center to watch the best of handball.
Imo Grasshoppers against all odds defeated Kada Queens 26-24 to cement their place in the third position with 19 points, one behind Safety Babes and Plateau Peacock who are both with 20 points each and are first and second respectively.
Second place Plateau Peacocks comfortably defeated Desert Queens 31-10 while Abia Valliants got their first win of the phase two league, defeating Owena babes 32-27.
Meanwhile, league leaders Safety Babes were held to a draw by Edo Dynamos 27-27 in what was a game of wit and grit, while Seasiders babes were defeated by Defender babes 28-24.
In the Men league, COAS shooters, for the second day running were held to a 23-23 draw by Bornu Spiders while table toppers Niger United had to dig deep to defeat a determined Kano Pillars 30-28.
Prison Key Boys continued their woeful performance in the league as they lost to Owena Kings 27-23 while third place Lagos Seasiders defeated Kada Stars 30-23.
Sokoto Rima and Plateau Vipers gave the fans an exciting game of handball with lots of goals scored but it ended in a stalemate 30-30 while Safety Shooters Shooters consolidated their second place postion with a hard fought 24-22 victory over D.Defenders.
Faith Inegbideon of Edo Dynamos and Emeka Emmanuel of Niger United were voted Most Valuable Players of the day respectively. They each got a cash price of =N= 10,000 and a plaque for their efforts.
Matchdays 4 promises to be exciting and the teams are raring to give fans more exciting dose of Handball.
