Champions League holders Bayern Munich have been knocked out of the competition despite winning 1-0 against Paris Saint-Germain in the return leg of the last eight.
Munich registered a 1-0 victory against PSG thanks to Choupo-Moting's first-half goal but the Ligue 1 giants held on to advance with away goals (3-3 aggregate).
Neymar had some good time in the first half. The Brazilain received a short free-kick about 25 yards out and danced past Alaba onto his right foot. The former Barcelona ace unleashed a shot that had Neuer beaten but it clipped the top of the cross back and to safety. Munich survived.
Minutes later, PSG attacked and Munich were on the ropes. Neymar was so unlucky, quick passes were exchanged leaving Munich defenders seeing stars. Mbappe played the final killer pass straight to Neymar who got in one-on-one with Neuer but poked his effort back off the post.
Bayern had not had the ball and against the run of play, they grabbed the opener. The German machines worked on overload down the left and Alaba was the man to test Navas. He got his legs in the way but could only loop the save into the air. Choupo-Moting rose highest and headed past Navas.
