PSL: Akpeyi Heaps Praises On Itumeleng

After successfully dethroned him as the club first choice, Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has praised South Africa international goalkeeper Khune Itumeleng, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Akpeyi joined Kaizer Chiefs from Chippa United after Khune sustained long term injury which ruled him out if the season.

Since he recovered from the injury, he has been unable to displace former Warri Wolves goaltender despite huge supports he secured from the club fans.

Akpeyi was in goal on Wednesday for Chiefs on Wednesday in a league restart against Bidvest Wits as Khune continues his stay on the bench.

Nigeria goaltender admonished Khune via his social media handle and recognised his as a true legend.

" He is a true legend @IIKHUNE_32_16 no wonder he’s a hero.I have so much respect for him even more," he Wrote.

Akpeyi has made 20 appearances for Chiefs this season.
